What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is concerned with human health and disease processes. Full Body Rejuvenation Center gives special attention to the physiological and biochemical aspects including structural, spinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular, nutritional, emotional, and environmental relationships.

What is an adjustment, and does it hurt?

An adjustment is a highly controlled force applied to areas of the spine. Usually, there is a "popping" noise heard with the adjustment. This noise is nothing more than gas escaping from a solution as the joint is manipulated. The goal of the adjustment is to improve the function of the joint and to positively affect the nervous system. Under normal circumstances an adjustment is painless. However under extreme circumstances such as a car accident of major trauma an adjustment may be uncomfortable.

What are some of the conditions chiropractic can help with?

Chiropractic focuses on the vertebral subluxations. Some of the more frequent cases are:

  • Back, neck, and shoulder pain

  • Muscle spasms

  • Headache and dizziness

  • Arm or hand pain

  • Carpel tunnel syndrome

  • Pain between the shoulders

  • Leg and foot pain

  • Sciatica

  • Disk herniations

The vertebral subluxations are commonly due to work injuries, poor posture, falls, or car accidents.

What is massage therapy?

Massage therapy spans a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, working to improve an individual's health and well-being through the hands-on manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body

What are the key benefits of massage therapy?

Physical--Massage therapy is designed to stretch and loosen muscles, improve blood flow and the movement of lymph throughout the body, and facilitate the removal of metabolic wastes resulting from exercise or inactivity, while increasing the flow of oxygen and nutrients to cells and tissue. In addition, massage stimulates the release of endorphins--the body's natural painkiller--into the brain and nervous system.

Mental --Massage therapy provides a relaxed state of alertness, reduces mental stress, and enhances capacity for calm thinking and creativity.

Emotional --Massage therapy satisfies the need for caring and nurturing touch and creates a feeling of well-being and reduces anxiety levels.
